Flying Thunder God Kunai (飛雷神クナイ, Hiraishin Kunai) are custom-made kunai (特注クナイ, tokuchū kunai) and signature tool of Minato Namikaze, who uses it in conjunction with his Space–Time Ninjutsu: the Flying Thunder God Technique.
They differ from a standard kunai in that they have three blades instead of one and on the handle (which is thicker than normal) is the "marker" (a special seal or "technique formula" (術式, jutsu-shiki)) for Minato's teleportation ability (the technique formula (術式, jutsu-shiki) on Minato's special kunai appears to say 忍愛之剣, made up of the the kanji for endurance (忍, nin), love (愛, ai), of (之), and sword/blade (剣, ken), "sword of love and endurance").
